| 背面描述 | The reverse is divided into three vertical panels printed in warm brown tones, each containing an engraved illustration drawn from the interior of the Stiftskirche St. Cyriaci: at left, the gravestone of the first Abbess Hathumod (959–1014); at centre, an ornately carved Romanesque church capital from the collegiate church; and at right, the tomb effigy of Abbess Elisabeth von Weida (1504–1532), who introduced the Reformation to Gernrode in 1521. A three-part quotation from Goethe runs across the upper register in banner cartouches, and descriptive captions in blackletter script are placed beneath each panel. |
