| Obverse description | The left two-thirds of the note are occupied by a detailed multicolour letterpress vignette of the Saalfeld Rathaus (Town Hall), labelled above the building, set against a fine guilloche-lined sky with a prominent Gothic church spire rising behind the roofline. The city arms — a shield charged with two confronted fish — appear below the vignette, flanked by a two-line rhyming inscription in ornate script. A vertical serial number is printed along the left margin, while the bold denomination numeral "50" anchors the lower-left corner. The right panel, bordered by a decorative frame, carries the voucher text in Gothic Fraktur script together with the issuing authority designation "Der Magistrat" and a manuscript signature. |
