The left vignette illustrates a half-timbered inn 'Zur Gans' with a female figure in traditional dress, accompanied by verses from Rudolf Baumbach's poem 'Das Lied vom Hütos'; the right vignette shows a wine-garden scene 'Weingarten taler Schattensitz' with two figures, alongside further stanzas of the poem. The lower border carries the bold Fraktur inscription 'Notgeld der Stadt Meiningen', with the designer's name 'L.
