| Popis líce | The obverse is printed on buff-coloured paper within a red and black chequered border. At centre, a large colour vignette presents the Bernburg civic coat of arms — a red-brick gatehouse with twin towers, surmounted by a bear passant, and supported by a shield below bearing a Saxon diagonal stripe and a Hohenzollern eagle — flanked on either side by scroll cartouches containing the large blue numeral '50'. Two manuscript signatures appear to the right of the vignette above the designation 'Der Magistrat' and 'Rendant', with the artist's name 'Heinz Schiestl' inscribed in small lettering at the base of the vignette. The serial number is printed in black at lower left. |
