Within the oval, an oval portrait medallion of a powdered-wig figure — likely Frederick the Great or a related royal personage associated with Rheinsberg — is surrounded by elaborate Rococo scrollwork, laurel foliage, and wave ornaments. The denomination numeral "50" appears twice in cartouches at lower left and lower right within the composition, and the designer's name "Rob. Koch" is inscribed at the base of the central vignette. |
