The oval is flanked left and right by bold numerals '50' in white outline, and the denomination inscription 'fünfzig Pfennig' in large red Gothic lettering runs across the lower half. The surrounding field is filled with a dense black foliate arabesque pattern incorporating motifs of toys — including a rocking horse, drum, and other playthings — directly referencing Sonneberg's renowned toy-manufacturing industry. |
