A scroll cartouche beneath the townscape bears the inscription 'Staufen im September 1920' alongside a facsimile signature of the Gemeinderat. The legends are set in Gothic typeface throughout, with the issuer name and denomination value occupying the upper register. |

The right half is occupied by an extended Gothic-script text recounting the Faust legend and the note's redemption conditions, with the denomination '50 Pfg.' and a serial number at the foot. |

Die Gültigkeit erlischt an dem durch den Gemeinderat Staufen im Amtsblatt zu bezeichnenden Tage. |
