Reverse description The central rectangular vignette illustrates a fortified local landmark building with distinctive red roofs and towers, likely a civic or historic structure of Mainbernheim. Four corner roundels each bear the denomination numeral '50'. Flanking the central vignette on either side are vertical text panels carrying a German aphorism, lending the note a typographic decorative character typical of Notgeld issues of the period.
Reverse lettering Wenn je der dem andern helfen
wollte, wäre allen geholfen.

Mainbernheim is among the smallest municipalities ever to issue emergency currency — a walled Franconian town whose population at the time of this note's printing barely exceeded a few hundred. The chronic coin shortage of 1920 drove even such minor communes to commission their own Kleingeldersatz, and Konrad Triltsch in Würzburg handled a considerable share of that regional demand, producing notes for numerous small Bavarian and Franconian issuers during the same period.

The DeNG dual reference (0859.1-2/2) indicates two distinct types within the series, making completeness a minor puzzle for specialist collectors of Franconian Notgeld.
