正面描述	Printed in dark brown on an orange-red guilloche underprint, the obverse carries the denomination numeral '50' in large Gothic-style figures at left and right within rectangular cartouches, flanking a central text panel bearing the conditions of validity and the issuing authority. A panoramic vignette of the Zittau townscape — with church steeples, civic buildings, and rooftops rendered in fine letterpress — runs across the lower portion of the note. The date 'Zittau, den 1. Januar 1919' appears beneath the text block, followed by the printed authority lines and a manuscript signature.
正面铭文	Gültig im Bezirk der Amtshauptmannschaft und der Stadt Zittau. / Der Gutschein wird bis 31. Dezember 1919 an allen Kassen der Amtshauptmannschaft und der Stadt Zittau in Zahlung genommen. Nach diesem Zeitpunkt ist Anspruch auf Einlösung ausgeschlossen. Die Gültigkeit kann durch amtliche Bekanntmachung in den Zittauer Nachrichten verlängert werden. Zittau, den 1. Januar 1919.
