| Obverse description | Printed in dark brown on an orange-red guilloche underprint, the obverse carries the denomination numeral '50' in large Gothic-style figures at left and right within rectangular cartouches, flanking a central text panel bearing the conditions of validity and the issuing authority. A panoramic vignette of the Zittau townscape — with church steeples, civic buildings, and rooftops rendered in fine letterpress — runs across the lower portion of the note. The date 'Zittau, den 1. Januar 1919' appears beneath the text block, followed by the printed authority lines and a manuscript signature. |
