The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' appears in large decorative lettering across the lower panel, with the printer's imprint of J. Maubach & Co. G.M.B.H. Frkfrt. A.M. at foot.

Gothic blackletter inscriptions read 'Kriegsnotgeld der Kreisstadt' across the upper margin and 'Bingen a. Rh. im Jahre 1918' across the lower panel.
