Obverse description At center, the municipal arms of Wunsiedel — a quartered shield supported by two rampant lions and surmounted by a helmeted eagle — is set within a decorative scroll banner bearing the denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' in bold Gothic lettering, flanked on either side by ornamental leaf borders in red and beige. Below the arms, the issuing text identifies this note as Kriegsnotgeld of the City of Wunsiedel, valid only within the city district for six months after the conclusion of peace. The note is dated Wunsiedel, 11 November 1918, and bears the manuscript signature of Schippel, rechtsk. Bürgermeister, beneath the Stadtmagistrat designation.

Reverse description The reverse presents a vignette of a medieval tower — likely the Luisenburg-area tower or a local historic watchtower — rising among bare, winter-bare trees, rendered in a painterly, sketch-like style in terracotta-brown tones on a light ground. Ornamental side panels in dark brown and cream carry repeating fruit-and-foliage motifs, with the numeral '50' set in decorative cartouches at each corner. The denomination '50 Pfennig' appears in a ruled box at upper left in bold Gothic script.
