Obverse description The central vignette presents the heraldic shield of Hammelburg, divided per pale: the dexter field in white bears a red Latin cross, the sinister field in grey-blue bears a white fleur-de-lis above green hills. The shield is set within an ornate wreath of wheat ears, hops, grape clusters, and foliage, with a stylised town silhouette of towers and spires rising above. The denomination '50 Pf.' appears in large red gothic numerals at upper left and upper right. Below the vignette, the validity clause and issuing authority text are printed in gothic letterpress, with two manuscript facsimile signatures flanking the central date and serial number.
Obverse lettering 50 Pf. 50 Pf.
