| Beschrijving voorzijde | Tan guilloche underprint on a rectangular note with rounded corners. At centre, a circular vignette presents the city gate of Schönebeck flanked by the denomination text in ornate script reading 'Fünfzig Pfennig', with the header 'Gut Schein über' in bold letterpress at top. The issuing authority 'Der Magistrat der Stadt Schönebeck a. Elbe' is inscribed in serif type below the vignette, accompanied by a red circular official stamp to the lower left and a manuscript signature; at the base a notice panel states the note is accepted at all municipal cash offices, with the printer's imprint of Gebrüder Wullstein at the very foot. |

| Opmerkingen |
Schönebeck's municipal notgeld was printed locally by Gebrüder Wullstein, a regional firm based in the same town — an arrangement common among smaller German municipalities during the 1918–1921 small-change shortage, when central coin supply collapsed under postwar economic dislocation and Reichsbank notes were hoarded or simply unavailable in low denominations.
The Magistrat series from Schönebeck an der Elbe ran across multiple denominations and dates within this window. Values in fine or better condition are modestly collectible as provincial pieces, though the Wullstein printing is unexceptional technically.
