This colourised bat piece falls squarely in that tradition — a bullion-adjacent collectible aimed at thematic collectors rather than circulating currency users. The KM#1871.1 reference distinguishes the colourised version from a companion uncolourised type, both struck for the same release.
Vampire bats are native to Latin America, not Gibraltar — the connection is purely commercial.
