| Beschrijving keerzijde | The large numeral 70 dominates the field, rendered in a bold, modern graphic style that fills the heptagonal flan, commemorating the seventy years of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. Within the curved interior of the zero, the Royal Cypher EIIR surmounted by the St Edward's Crown appears in raised relief. The regnal dates 1952–2022 are inscribed below the cypher. The engravers' initials AR DO appear in the lower exergue. The design, by Osborne Ross, is clean and contemporary in execution. |
