| Obverse description | Equestrian effigy of Queen Elizabeth II riding at a canter to left, the Queen depicted in military dress, enclosed within the Garter Belt bearing the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE. The denomination 50 PENCE appears within the legend, with the date 2022 in the lower field. The engraver's initials JB appear near the base.
