Reverse description A Viking longship under full sail dominates the central field, depicted in finely detailed relief with a dragon-headed prow facing left and an intricately rendered billowing sail bearing a triskelion motif. Stylized waves appear beneath the hull, and the Point of Ayre lighthouse is visible in the lower right background. The legend ISLE OF MAN arcs across the upper periphery, while FIFTY PENCE runs along the lower left in large capital letters. The commemorative inscription DAY OF TYNWALD / JULY 5th is incused in two lines within a rectangular panel at the base of the central design.
