| Reverse description | Central depiction of the Gold State Coach rendered in selective gold plating against a frosted silver field, shown in a three-quarter front view with its ornate gilded bodywork, large spoked wheels, and figural decorations clearly delineated. Radiating lines extend outward from the coach in the upper field, evoking a sunburst or heraldic glory. Below the coach, a dark contrasting lower register bears the two-line legend THE GOLD STATE COACH and the denomination 50p in bold incuse-style lettering. Three fleur-de-lis ornaments flank the inscriptions — one to each side of the main legend and one below the denomination — serving as decorative punctuation consistent with Guernsey's heraldic tradition. |

| Additional information |
The Gold State Coach depicted here has carried every British monarch to their coronation since George IV in 1821, making it among the most continuously active ceremonial vehicles in the world. It was last used in full procession at Charles III's coronation in May 2023 — a journey of roughly one mile from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey that the coach's notoriously uncomfortable suspension made feel considerably longer, by most accounts.
Guernsey issues commemoratives under its own Crown Dependency authority, independent of Royal Mint production runs.
