The shield is flanked by royal cyphers of Charles III and surrounded by the national floral emblems of the four constituent nations — the Tudor rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the leek of Wales, and the shamrock of Ireland. The surrounding legend commemorates the Coronation of King Charles III on 6 May 2023, with the motto of the Order of the Garter, HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, completing the inscription. |
