Obverse description Uncrowned left-facing effigy of King Charles III after the portrait by David Lawrence, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and facial features. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the upper left periphery, with BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY continuing around the upper right, all within the equilateral curve heptagonal border. The date 2025 appears in the lower exergual area, flanked by two small decorative dots. The field is mirror-polished in proof finish, providing strong contrast to the frosted portrait.

Reverse description A selectively gold-plated Supermarine Spitfire in three-quarter perspective dominates the central field, depicted in an attacking dive with squadron code letters visible on the fuselage, set against a stylised cloudscape rendered in gold plate. The Royal Air Force roundel and the inscription ROYAL AIR FORCE appear in the lower left of the central panel. The denomination 50p is inscribed in the lower right of the gold-plated panel. The legend BATTLE OF BRITAIN 85 arcs across the upper field in bold relief lettering above the central image, while SPITFIRE ATTACK appears in two lines across the lower exergue, flanked by small aircraft motifs. The silver border frames the gold-plated central composition, creating a striking two-tone effect.
