Reverse description At center, within a hexagonal border, appears a relief depiction of a Jaina figurine — a pre-Columbian Maya personage rendered in the style of the ceramic funerary figures excavated on Jaina Island, Campeche. The date 1994 and the Mexico City mint mark Mo appear within or adjacent to the hexagonal frame. The denomination N$50 is inscribed at the bottom of the field outside the hexagon, with the legend PERSONAJE DE JAINA completing the identification of the subject.
