| Aanvullende informatie |
Issued the decade after Chiang Ching-kuo's death in January 1988, this commemorative marks a figure who presided over Taiwan's transition away from martial law — lifted in July 1987 after 38 consecutive years, the longest period of martial law in recorded history at the time. His father had imposed it; he ended it.
