| Obverse description | Printed in dark blue and light yellow by intaglio and lithography, the obverse centres on an oval portrait vignette of Floriano Vieira Peixoto (1839–1895), second President of Brazil (1891–1894), flanked on each side by the Arabic numeral '50'. The face carries extensive typeset text setting out the terms of redemption at the São Paulo State Treasury under Decree No. 5585 of 14 July 1932, together with the 'PRÓ CONSTITUIÇÃO' patriotic legend and the printer's imprint at foot. A manuscript conference signature appears below the central vignette. |
