Geometric ornamental borders composed of repeating triangle and diamond motifs frame the scene on all four sides. The denomination "FÜNFZIG MARK" is inscribed in block capitals across the top, and a two-column quatrain from the Scheffel poem appears along the lower margin, with the attribution "J. V. von Scheffel" and the stanza number "IV" also present. |
