| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bold letterpress legends read "NOTGELD DER STADT SÄCKINGEN" across the upper field against a red dotted guilloche underprint of interlocking swirls. The denomination numeral "50" is set within a large circular red guilloche vignette at centre, flanked left and right by the word "MARK"; below the circle, the date "30. NOVBR. 1922" and the issuing authority inscription "DER STADTRAT:" are followed by two manuscript signatures. The lower-left corner bears the town arms of Säckingen in black and red, while the lower-right corner carries a secondary heraldic shield with a figural roundel, all enclosed within a plain rectangular border. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central vignette, rendered in a bold woodcut-style line engraving, shows two orientalised figures flanking a palm tree: at left, a dark-skinned warrior in a pleated skirt carrying a sword, and at right, a robed traveller holding a bag, illustrating a verse from Joseph Victor von Scheffel's poem. Geometric ornamental borders composed of repeating triangle and diamond motifs frame the scene on all four sides. The denomination "FÜNFZIG MARK" is inscribed in block capitals across the top, and a two-column quatrain from the Scheffel poem appears along the lower margin, with the attribution "J. V. von Scheffel" and the stanza number "IV" also present. |
