To the left, a large circular blank cartouche is framed by an elaborate wreath of fruit and foliage rendered in green intaglio. The denomination LIRE CINQUANTA and issuer name BANCA D'ITALIA appear in bold letterpress at centre, above the legend PAGABILI A VISTA AL PORTATORE, with two facsimile signatures below for IL GOVERNATORE and IL CASSIERE. The overprint SERIE SPECIALE AFRICA ORIENTALE ITALIANA runs across the top margin in red, with a further red legend along the bottom restricting circulation to Italian East Africa. |

| 裏面の説明 | The central vignette presents a finely engraved intaglio image of the Capitoline Wolf — the she-wolf suckling the twins Romulus and Remus upon a pedestal — set against a green guilloché underprint. To the left, a circular red overprint medallion inscribed OTTOBRE 1922 with a fasces device is printed in letterpress. A large blank circular cartouche occupies the right field, framed by ornamental scrollwork, with the numeral 50 and LIRE in a cartouche at lower right. The entire composition is enclosed within a decorative floral and foliate border with corner ornaments. |
