| Reverse description | The central vignette presents a finely engraved intaglio image of the Capitoline Wolf — the she-wolf suckling the twins Romulus and Remus upon a pedestal — set against a green guilloché underprint. To the left, a circular red overprint medallion inscribed OTTOBRE 1922 with a fasces device is printed in letterpress. A large blank circular cartouche occupies the right field, framed by ornamental scrollwork, with the numeral 50 and LIRE in a cartouche at lower right. The entire composition is enclosed within a decorative floral and foliate border with corner ornaments. |
