| Reverse description | The reverse is dominated by a large intaglio vignette of the main building of the Banco Central de Honduras, set to the left against a multicolour guilloche underprint of blue, gold, and orange geometric patterns. To the right, a stylised pre-Columbian Mayan glyph motif rendered in orange and blue serves as a decorative centrepiece, alongside a square optically variable security element. The denomination "50" appears in large colour-shifting numerals at the lower right, and the legends "BANCO CENTRAL DE HONDURAS" and "CINCUENTA LEMPIRAS" frame the design along the left edge and lower border respectively. |
