备注	Croatia's first post-independence banknote series was designed and printed under considerable time pressure — the kuna was reintroduced on 30 May 1994, reviving a currency name last used under the wartime Ustasha regime, a politically loaded choice that generated real public debate. This 50 kuna piece is a pattern, produced before the final series was confirmed, and pattern survivors from this issue are rarely encountered separately from institutional holdings. The reintroduction of the kuna name required a deliberate government decision to reclaim the denomination from its 1941–1945 associations.
