| Obverse description | The left half of the note is occupied by a line-engraved vignette of the Waldzell parish church set among trees, signed by the artist E. Dornager at lower right, with a four-line German verse below reading 'Österreich zerfällt, Jede Pfarre hat ihr Geld...' The right half carries the large denomination numeral '50' flanked by 'Heller' in Gothic blackletter script, beneath which a block of Gothic text states the municipality's redemption obligation valid to 31 October 1920, followed by a manuscript signature above the title 'Bürgermeister'. The heading 'Notgeld der Gemeinde Waldzell' runs across the full top border with '50' numerals at each corner. |
