Austrian municipal notgeld, issued by the small Salzburg-district village of Oberalm during the severe coin shortage that gripped Austria from roughly 1919 onward. Hundreds of municipalities issued their own emergency pfennig- and heller-denomination notes during this period; Oberalm's 50 Heller falls squarely within that wave.
