Obverse description Printed in deep carmine-red on white paper in a bold Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) style, the obverse carries a central vignette of a helmeted female head in profile facing right, set within an ornate foliate cartouche at upper centre. Flanking the central panel are elaborately interlaced decorative borders with scrollwork and lozenge motifs, while the large denomination numeral '50' and the word 'Heller' appear in a framed panel below the vignette. The date '1920' is inscribed in a small cartouche at the top, and the issuer's name 'Hallwang' is rendered in bold Gothic script along the lower margin beneath the legend 'Gutschein der Gemeinde'.

Reverse description Printed in black on white paper, the reverse is enclosed within a repeating chain-link ornamental border with corner square medallions. The text block, set in Gothic script, states the date of issue 'Hallwang, am 22. Mai 1920' at the top, followed by the full legal text of the voucher authorising its issuance to alleviate the prevailing small-change shortage, with validity contingent upon the application of the municipal stamp. The mayor's printed signature 'Paul Peer' appears below the designation 'Der Bürgermeister:', and a violet oval municipal validation stamp reading 'Gemeinde Vorstehung Hallwang' is applied at the foot of the note.
