正面描述 Printed in purple on cream paper, the central vignette portrays the Battle of the Magyars (Magyarenschlacht) of 943 near Eberstallzell, rendered in a vigorous linear style with massed medieval warriors clashing amid spears, shields, and banners across a landscape backdrop. The denomination numeral '50' appears in each corner within decorative cartouches, with foliate scroll ornaments flanking the central frame. The inscription 'FÜNFZIG HELLER' runs across the top in bold Gothic lettering, and 'EBERSTALLZELL' is set in a plain panel along the lower margin.

备注

Eberstallzell is a small village in Upper Austria, and like hundreds of similarly sized communes, it issued Notgeld during the severe coin shortage that followed the First World War. The 50 Heller denomination sits at the practical centre of Austrian municipal emergency currency — small enough to substitute for absent coinage, large enough to matter for daily transactions. What distinguishes this note from mass-produced municipal issues is the involvement of a locally credited designer, R. Kasberger of Algen, a hamlet within the Eberstallzell commune itself.

The Pressverein-Druckerei in Wels handled printing for numerous Upper Austrian Notgeld issues during this period, making attribution straightforward.
