| 备注 |
Issued in 1920 by the Amstetten branch of the Deutschösterreichischer Schutzverein Antisemitenbund — an explicitly antisemitic nationalist organization — this is among the most politically charged pieces of Austrian Notgeld. The postwar Notgeld phenomenon produced thousands of local emergency issues, but very few were tied directly to a named political movement of this kind. The issuing body was not a municipality or savings institution but an ideological association, making this a piece of organizational scrip rather than civic currency.
Its existence sits in the timeline between Austria's defeat in 1918 and the consolidation of far-right politics in the region through the 1920s. Collectors should be aware that the issuer's name alone triggers legal restrictions on display or sale in several European jurisdictions.
