Issued in 1920 by the Amstetten branch of the Deutschösterreichischer Schutzverein Antisemitenbund — an explicitly antisemitic nationalist organization — this is among the most politically charged pieces of Austrian Notgeld. The postwar Notgeld phenomenon produced thousands of local emergency issues, but very few were tied directly to a named political movement of this kind.
