| Obverse description | Printed in rose-red on white paper, the obverse carries a full-width pictorial vignette of a village street scene in Joching, rendered in a soft lithographic style with buildings flanking a cobbled lane. The heading 'Wachauer Notgeld' in Gothic blackletter script appears at the top, with 'Joching.' directly beneath.
