| 背面描述 | Central vignette of the Haitian National Coat of Arms — a palm tree surmounted by a Phrygian cap, flanked by cannons and cannonballs, within an ornate guilloche oval frame. The numeral '50' appears in each corner within decorative panels, and the inscription 'CINQUANTE GOURDES' is set in bold letterpress below the central arms. A block of text in French fills the lower portion of the note, with the American Bank Note Company imprint at the bottom margin. |

| 备注 |
The 1964 issue falls within a tightly controlled series produced under the Duvalier government, a period when the BNRH was effectively an instrument of state finance rather than an independent central institution. ABnc had supplied Haitian currency for decades by this point, maintaining a consistent relationship with Port-au-Prince across multiple political regimes.
The watermark is the sole mechanical security measure on this type — a notable restraint for a denomination of this size, and one that made competent counterfeiting less difficult than it should have been.
