| Obverse description | The note is printed in blue on white paper and framed by an elaborate oval guilloche border with foliate ornamental corners. At the top centre, a classical female head in profile serves as a vignette, flanked by the inscription BANQUE de FRANCE and the denomination CINQUANTE FRANCS in large letterpress below. Two putti supporting a cartouche appear at the lower centre, while oval panels at left and right carry legal warning texts in small print. Black index numbers appear at each corner, and the date, serial number, and manuscript signatures of the Caissier principal and Secrétaire général are placed in the lower central field. |
