| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of Marianne, the allegorical personification of the French Republic, depicted with flowing hair and wearing a Phrygian cap, engraved by Raymond Joly. The legend RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE curves along the upper periphery, with the issuing authority abbreviation I·E·O·M and the mint date inscribed in the lower field beneath the bust. The engraver's signature R. JOLY appears to the right of the effigy in the field. |

The Institut d'Émission d'Outre-Mer issues currency exclusively for France's Pacific collectivities — New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and Wallis and Futuna — operating under a framework established in 1966 to replace the CFP franc notes previously managed through the Banque de l'Indochine. The "Non-Magnetic" designation in the catalog name exists because this type replaced an earlier nickel-steel version, the distinction mattering practically to vending machine operators and automated sorting equipment across the islands.
CFP franc coins are struck at the Monnaie de Paris.
