| Obverse description | Three giant eland antelopes (Taurotragus derbianus) depicted in high relief, their heads facing left with prominent interlocking horns filling the central field. Stylized grass or reeds appear beneath the animals, adding depth to the naturalistic composition. The engravers' signatures GB·L·BAZOR appear in small characters to the right of the central design. A circular legend around the periphery reads BANQUE CENTRALE at the top and REP. CENTRAFRICAINE·CONGO·GABON·TCHAD along the lower arc, separated by raised dots.
