| Descrizione del dritto | Left-facing draped bust of Marianne, the allegorical personification of the French Republic, rendered in the classical style by engraver Raymond Joly, whose incised signature R·JOLY appears in the lower right field. Marianne is depicted helmeted, with flowing hair falling behind her neck, in a style reminiscent of Republican French coinage tradition. The circular legend RÉPVBLIQVE FRANÇAISE runs along the upper periphery, while the issuer's abbreviation I·E·O·M and the date 1972 are positioned in the lower field beneath the bust. |
