Popis líce	The obverse is laid out in a horizontal format with an elaborate letterpress and intaglio composition. Two large oval vignettes flank the central text panel: the left vignette portrays a classical female allegory seated among maritime and agricultural attributes, while the right vignette presents a similar allegorical female figure beside an architectural backdrop, both framed by fine guilloche ornamental borders. The central panel bears the issuer's name and the denomination CINQUANTE FRANCS in bold letterpress, with spaces for series letter, number, and three manuscript signature lines for two administrators and the director; a detachable left stub carries handwritten issue particulars and the bearer clause.

Popis rubu	The reverse is printed in blue-green tones on a fine guilloche underprint that covers the entire surface. Three oval medallions are arranged horizontally across the centre: the two outer medallions each bear the numeral 50 within dense lathe-work guilloché, while the central medallion displays the cantonal arms of Valais — a shield charged with thirteen stars beneath a Swiss cross — encircled by a laurel wreath. The issuer's name arches across the top in bold capital letters, and the state authorisation and share capital inscription appear along the lower margin.
