| Aversbeschreibung | Plain field bearing a centrally placed incuse square cartouche containing a stylised representation of the Tower of London, depicting two flanking towers with battlements and a central gatehouse, rendered in low relief. The surrounding field is otherwise entirely blank, with no legend or inscription, consistent with the nature of a planchet trial strike produced at the British Royal Mint. |

| Reversbeschreibung | Plain, uniface-style field with a centrally positioned incuse square cartouche enclosing the same Tower of London device as the obverse, showing the crenellated fortress motif with two turrets and a central keep in low relief. The field surrounding the cartouche is entirely devoid of legend, inscription, or decorative element, characteristic of a trial planchet struck to test die and planchet specifications rather than for circulation. |

| Zusätzliche Informationen |
The Bahrain Currency Board was established in 1964 to issue a distinctly Bahraini currency following the country's monetary separation from the Gulf rupee system — a rupee zone that collapsed after India's 1966 devaluation would have made the arrangement untenable regardless. This planchet trial predates that rupee crisis and reflects the preparatory work underway before the dinar series entered full production. Planchet trials of this type were struck to verify blank specifications against intended striking pressure and feed tolerances, not for circulation or distribution.
