| 背面描述 | The reverse features a dynamic composition of two TGV Sud-Est high-speed train locomotives depicted head-on and in three-quarter view, their streamlined forms rendered in finely detailed relief against a polished field. The arc legend TRAINS À GRANDE VITESSE curves along the upper periphery, while the denomination 50 EURO is inscribed prominently in large numerals and lettering across the upper central field. In the lower exergue, the inscription TGV SUD-EST appears above the date 2012, commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of the TGV Sud-Est service. |

This piece belongs to the "Monuments de France" program, through which the Monnaie de Paris issued a series of oversized silver coins commemorating landmark French architecture. The Lyon Part-Dieu terminus, designed by Santiago Calatrava and opened in 1994, was built specifically to serve the TGV network rather than retrofit an existing station — an unusual planning decision that gave Calatrava near-complete freedom over the structural form.
At 163.8 grams in .950 silver, these were never intended for circulation. Collector uptake was modest, and secondary market prices have remained close to melt for most of the series.
