| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features a stylized effigy of Marianne, the allegorical figure of the French Republic, depicted facing slightly left with flowing hair adorned with a crown of European stars, set within a circular cartouche. Surrounding the central portrait, diagonal geometric bands intersect the field in a dynamic Baroque-inspired composition, with the mintmark and date 2018 inscribed in the lower left. The Euro symbol accompanied by a star motif appears at the bottom of the field. The circular legend reads EUROPE BAROQUE & ROCOCO and RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE distributed around the outer band in large incuse lettering. |

Part of the Monnaie de Paris "Masterpieces of French Museums" series, this issue draws on collections held across French national institutions — a program that required negotiated reproduction rights with individual museums, complicating and extending the production timeline considerably. The selective gilding is applied galvanically, not by leaf, isolating specific relief elements with a precision that traditional gilding methods cannot achieve at this scale.
