In the left foreground, a richly detailed Renaissance-era armoured helmet and gorget are rendered in high relief, the visor and surface ornamentation finely engraved. To the right, a perspective view into the interior of the Landeszeughaus (Styrian Armoury) reveals a row of full suits of plate armour standing on pedestals, receding into the background in a dramatic vanishing-point composition. The legend REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH arcs along the upper rim, with the denomination 50 EURO and date 2011 inscribed in the field. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse, engraved by Herbert Wähner, features a bold close-up of a crested Renaissance armoured helmet shown in three-quarter view, its surface decorated with intricate embossed scrollwork and a grotesque mask on the chin guard, characteristic of sixteenth-century Styrian armourers' craft. The curved legend LANDES·ZEUGHAUS GRAZ is inscribed along the left and lower rim in incuse Latin lettering, referencing the world-renowned Graz Arsenal, home to one of the largest preserved collections of historic arms and armour. The field is plain, allowing the finely worked relief of the helmet to dominate the composition. |
