| Mô tả mặt trước | The obverse features an artistic composition inspired by Gustav Klimt's decorative style, dominated by a stylized tree with spiraling, volute-laden branches rendered in high relief against a finely finished field. To the right, a partial figure clad in an ornately patterned robe — evoking the mosaic-like geometric forms characteristic of Klimt's Expectation — emerges at the coin's edge. The legend REPUBLIK along the left border and ÖSTERREICH along the upper arc frame the central design, while the denomination 50 EURO appears in bold relief along the lower field and the date 2013 is inscribed at the lower left of the central panel. |

| Mô tả mặt sau | The reverse depicts a detailed rendition of Gustav Klimt's celebrated painting The Expectation, portraying a female figure richly adorned in a sweeping, mosaic-patterned robe composed of geometric and spiral motifs characteristic of Klimt's golden phase. The figure is shown in a frontal, hieratic pose, her elaborate costume rendered in intricate relief that captures the gilded, Byzantine-influenced aesthetic of the original artwork. The composition fills the entire coin field, reflecting the artist's hallmark synthesis of ornamental abstraction and figurative representation. This coin forms the second issue in the Austrian Mint's five-part Klimt and his Women series, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Viennese Secessionist master's birth. |

| Thông tin bổ sung |
Part of Austria's "Philosophy" series, this coin was issued to honor Sigmund Freud's concept of expectation as a psychological state — the anticipation of pleasure as itself a form of satisfaction. The series drew on Vienna's extraordinary intellectual heritage, a city that produced not just Freud but Wittgenstein, Popper, and the entire Vienna Circle within a few decades of one another.
The .986 fineness is marginally purer than the standard .900 gold used in most European bullion issues of the 20th century, a deliberate choice by the Austrian Mint to position the Philosophy series as premium collectibles rather than circulatable commemoratives.
