| 裏面の説明 | A classical allegorical representation of Venus, depicted as a draped female figure standing upon a large scallop shell at center, her long hair falling freely over her shoulders. To the left, a dove perches beside the astrological symbol for Venus (female symbol) with the inscription VENUS below. Decorative rose blossoms appear in the lower left, upper left, and lower right fields, set against a stippled starry background. A large polished sphere occupies the right portion of the field. The date 1994 is incused along the upper rim, and the denomination $50 appears along the lower rim. |

The Marshall Islands began issuing collector coinage in 1986 under a licensing arrangement that effectively outsourced its numismatic program to a private firm, the Pobjoy Mint and later others. By the early 1990s the program had expanded aggressively into thematic issues with little connection to Marshallese history or culture. This Venus piece is one of dozens of such coins produced for the international collector market during that period, sold primarily through mail-order dealers and Franklin Mint-style direct marketing channels rather than through any domestic circulation.
Mintage figures for this series were rarely disclosed with precision.
