Obverse description A large intaglio-printed vignette of a mythical dragon-headed tortoise occupies the left portion of the note, rendered in red-brown tones against a multicolour guilloche underprint. The bank's logo appears at upper right, with the denomination numeral '50' repeated at left and right margins. The centre panel carries bilingual text including the promise to pay inscription and the date of issue, with two facsimile signatures of the Chief Financial Officer and Director printed below.
